Kara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Charlotte, North Carolina, specializing in therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Before relocating to North Carolina, she provided mental health services in both outpatient and inpatient settings in New York, where she supported children and families navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges. Since moving to Charlotte, Kara has also served as an instructor in the Social Work and Psychology programs at UNC Charlotte and Wingate University, bringing an academic and evidence-based approach to her clinical work.

As a trauma-informed therapist, Kara is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and integrates play therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into her sessions. She has experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, attachment-related concerns, anger management challenges, and childhood sexual abuse, tailoring each treatment plan to meet the unique needs of every client.
