Raymond (Ray) Castillo, LMFT-S

Ray is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Charlotte, North Carolina, and remotely in South Carolina. Ray specializes in working with individuals, couples or families that are between the ages of 13 and above. Ray earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Trinity International University in Davie, Florida in 2014. He then earned his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2020. Since then, Ray has provided mental health services in outpatient settings supporting patients with different mental health needs. Ray earned his supervisor status in 2024 supporting new clinicians and served as an Adjunct Professor at Pfeiffer University for two summer terms in the Marriage and Family Therapy program.

As a therapist, Ray believes that every person has their own unique story. He understands that everyone deserves to be heard in an environment that is safe and without judgment with an opportunity in achieving their therapeutic goals. Ray utilizes effective systemic approaches that fit the patients and enable them to reach their goals. He also works with sensitivity cross-culturally and is a passionate advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion. Ray takes pride in providing care for the LGBTQAI+ community from an affirming and caring stance. As a systemic therapist, his goal is to walk alongside his patients toward a path of healing and recovery.
