Corona Virus Resources

An Update from Our Intake Specialist

PFBH is closely monitoring the progression of COVID-19 and working tirelessly to minimize its impact on our patients. We understand that in these unprecedented times, there is a significant amount of anxiety surrounding both the virus itself as well as its effect on our day-to-day lives. We are committed to maintaining the highest possible level of care for both new and existing patients. Due to North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper’s Phase 2 Executive Order (EO) issued on May 20th, 2020, we will be reopening our practice on a limited schedule. We will be accepting onsite appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 to 5:30 PM starting on June 8th, 2020. You may still continue to schedule HIPAA compliant video consultations if it is your preference unless your provider indicates that it is medically necessary for you to be seen in the office. In order to minimize the opportunity for COVID-19 transmission at our facility, we have established a protocol to support and abide by the EO, the North Carolina (NC) Medical Board, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and professional society guidelines.

The clinic is taking the following precautions to protect our patients and help slow the spread of the COVID-19.

  • Office seating in the waiting room and in therapy/testing rooms has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.

  • Our providers and staff wear masks.

  • Our staff maintains a safe distance and follows the three Ws: Wear a mask, Wait six feet apart and Wash your hands.

  • Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.

  • Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy/testing rooms, waiting room, and at the reception counter.

  • Upon arrival for a session, we ask that all patients wait in their cars and send a text to 980-237-4766 with their name and the make/model of their car. Further instructions will be provided by our office staff prior to the appointment time.

  • We have a no visitor policy in place and only one guardian is allowed per client when necessary. No Walk-ins are allowed. Patients must contact the office to schedule and confirm on-site office visits. No one will be allowed in the facility without having their temperature checked with a touch-free thermometer. Due to these extra precautions, we advise that patients arrive at least 5-10 minutes early for their sessions.

  • Credit card pads, pens, and other areas that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized after each use.

For New Patients: Please contact us at 980-237-4766 with questions or to schedule an intake session.

For Existing Patients:  As a behavioral health practice, we strongly recommend that patients keep their scheduled appointments. PFBH will allow for a remote session unless your provider indicates that a session must be in-person. The length and rate of the session will remain the same. All transitions to in-person sessions MUST be coordinated and cleared by the front desk staff at least 24 hours prior to your session. Per our new policy, payment for services is due prior to services being rendered. You will need to prepay for your session before your appointment. Without payment, your provider will not be able to contact you. You may pay via the patient portal or by contacting the office. Please note that our No-Show Policy will remain the same. Our administrative staff and providers will be available remotely and intermittently in the office to address your concerns and any required medication refills. If you have any questions regarding this notice or any other issue, please do not hesitate to contact us.
